Day 4: Fes → Full Day Imperial City Tour
On the fourth day of your 10-day Morocco trip, explore the rich history and culture of Fes, a city that has preserved its medieval charm over time. After breakfast, embark on a private guided tour of Fez’s ancient Medina, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Arab world.
Wander through narrow, winding alleys lined with charming architecture and brightly colored doors. The aroma of leather fills the air as you visit the tanneries, dating back to the 12th century. Watch as leather workers dye and shape the leather into goods like bags, coats, and belts.
Finish your tour with a peaceful moment at a rooftop café, where you can enjoy a refreshing glass of mint tea while overlooking the vibrant Medina.
DAY 5: Fes => Imouzar => Ifrane => Zaida => Midelt
Day 6: Sahara Desert Berber Camp
On the sixth day of your 10-day Morocco trip, travel for 6 hours towards the great desert of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the comfort of your 4×4 or minivan, with plenty of stops to take in the views of kasbahs, palm valleys, and orchards. You may also pass nomads with their herds, moving freely across the land.
Continue through changing landscapes, from arid mountains to fertile valleys, and stop in border towns like Erfoud and Rissani, before arriving in the desert village of Merzouga. Set against the backdrop of the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi, Merzouga feels beautifully secluded.
Store your luggage at your Berber camp and take an hour-long camel trek into the desert to watch the sunset. The Erg Chebbi dunes are among the most picturesque in Morocco, offering a vast sea of undulating sand.
Spend the night in the desert, under the stars, and enjoy a traditional dinner prepared by your local hosts.
DAY 7: Merzouga desert => Tourug => Tinghir => Toudgha => Dades
=> Walk in the nearest dunes to enjoy a wonderful sunrise over the desert, eat traditional food, and you will make your way to Tinghir, a very large and beautiful oasis that stretches over 40 km in length. The valley is rich in palm trees, olives, almonds and many other types of crops. Just walking in the green valley for a few minutes will give you an incredible experience. Todgha Gorge is located north of Tinghir, a wall 300 meters deep in the High Atlas Mountains and one of the rarest landscapes you can find. The road through Todgha Gorge follows the right bank of the river, covered with palm trees.
=> To the east lies the narrowest and most beautiful section of the strait. For 110 yards, the narrow fairway between towering rock walls (985 feet high) is only 65 feet wide.
